The Pleasant Grove Hawks caged the North Lamar Panthers 56-6 Friday at Hawk Stadium improving to a perfect 9-0. The victory was the 99th career win for Hawks head football coach Josh Gibson.
The Hawks were led on offense by running back Jaylen Boardley. Boardley toted the pigskin 9 times for 149 yards and 4 touchdowns, all in the first half.
Both teams agreed to run the clock in the second half. The Hawks played their second string in the second half.
Landon West led the Hawks defense
Pleasant Grove junior Landon “Wild Wild” West led the Hawks on defense.
West had 7 tackles, 2 for a loss and he recovered a fumble.
Pleasant Grove will have a chance to finish the regular season undefeated next Friday at Hawks Stadium against the Spring Hill Panthers. The win would be the 100th career victory for head coach Josh Gibson.
